You Can Be a Spirit Walker

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

I admit it. I’m a diehard procrastinator. There are pros and cons here. Last minute to do lists are common in our household. This can lead to a little stress. On the other hand there is not a lot of time to over think things. If I get myself out of the way quickly, let go of the outer circumstances that harass and bully me. The order and peace I’m searching for is there.

We all have them, deadlines, projects that need to get done, family and neighbors that need our attention and care. Letting go and letting God into my life circumstances is a daily renewing practice in my life. Something I have to choose to do every day. Some days I choose to be bullheaded and run head long into the chaos. These days are rarely fruitful. They are typically exhausting, leaving me feeling weary and unable to live up to what’s expected of me.

I’m grateful for the life God has given me. For the reality is God gives us unconditional love and peace. We can choose to live life, even though it’s messy at times. Learn to be creative in our acceptance of the moment. We can be courageous and take risks where it concerns making changes to our life circumstances and our world. We can live in a state of gratefulness knowing the reality is, God has provided enough for all his children and we can be His messengers here on earth.

Father God,   You have told us to “Fear not” you are always with us. Remind me to take you with me wherever I go. For you are the strength and peace in my life.   Amen
