Yes or No

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Risen Christ,

As much as we might like to do so, we cannot pin Jesus down. He does not serve at our command. He answers prayers according to God’s agenda. A song from the "Sound of Music" captures some fitting images for the illusive  ministry of Jesus. In “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?” the nun asks "How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?...How do you  hold a moonbeam in your hand…?”

For further reflection read Mark 1:29-39. Jesus, when asked to come and heal more people who are in need, essentially says no, “Let’s go the other way to the rest of the villages so I can preach there also.” Mark 1:38.

Jesus teaches that it is ok to say “NO”. Are there good things you should be saying “NO” to so greater things might happen in Jesus' name? These are complicated matters intended to be carried to Christ in prayer. If you are not feeling a tension in your prayer life over what to say yes and no to, you are missing a critical path to spiritual growth.

Prayers: For the Mitchells and all who mourn. For Rodney Jackson and all in need of healing. For wisdom in saying our yes’s and no’s. For leaders and followers. Global peace.

Still in One Peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen

You actually make it seem really easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to
be really one thing that I think I would by no means understand.
It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
I am looking ahead on your subsequent publish, I will attempt to get the grasp of it!
