Without Worry

One of the things I try to do less of these days is worrying.  Prior to my heart attack, I always felt the need to control as much in my life as possible instead of giving it up to God and living a Christ centered life.  Trying to control things in my life also made me worry about things (career, finances, children, family, etc.) many things that were beyond my control to begin with.  The following bible versus speaks to me personally about worrying.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matt 6:25-27 NIV

I often refer to when I been worried or stressed and simply pray about it and give it over to God.  When I do this I soon find myself without worry.
