Where is it?

Dear Blessed,

“O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name!                                        O my soul , bless God, don’t forget a single blessing.”                                                   Psalm 103:1,2 (The Message translation)

Where is the blessing in Nicole and Nicholas Walters losing both their parents, Mike and Jill, in the aftermath of a tragic car accident on June 30th? I do not believe that there was a reason for their death.  I do believe that the biblical word for ”blessing “ is not static but rather dynamic. As Eugene Peterson says, ” God's blessings come to us often in seed form sprouting through the tangled complexities of life and ripening to fruition.”

Tragedies present us with complexities and a tangled mess.  We live in a world where evil is on the move. Bad things happen to very good people like the Walters.  God’s seeds of blessing take root in all situations good and bad. Blessings come to both catastrophic circumstances as well as casual circumstances. God’s blessings will always have the final word! The Christ of Easter has embraced us in an eternal truth that chooses not to elude us!

Keep the Walters family in your prayers.  The Gods Grace Community Church website has details on the arrangements for the visitation and funeral this Thursday and Friday.

Still in One Peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen

When some one searches for his necessary thing, therefore he/she wishes to be available that in detail,
so that thing is maintained over here.
