We Are Still the Church

Good morning. It’s a beautiful day. The sun is out. But generally, we are not.

Things are different, including church. What does this mean for us?

It means we are still the church, remembering these verses from Hebrews 12:

Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won’t let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us. We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. He endured the shame of being nailed to a cross, because he knew that later on he would be glad he did. Now he is seated at the right side of God’s throne! So keep your mind on Jesus, who put up with many insults from sinners. Then you won’t get discouraged and give up. CEV

We will “gather” tomorrow at 10:00 am via the stream. You can catch the stream here or on our Facebook page. We’re not inviting you to just watch, but to participate. Light a candle, find your Bible (Pastor Dave will be preaching on John 9,) grab a cup of coffee and perhaps some comfort food to enjoy when we’re done. We’ll send out and post the song lyrics so you can sing along. And, watch our website for new ways to check in daily.

Things are different, but we are still the church. We'll be "looking" for you.

Thanks be to God!

Grace be with you,

Vikki
