We

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This weekend we will be worshipping with our brothers and sisters at Hopewell Baptist near Booneville, Mississippi. There are 11 of us going. If a portion of us is there, we are all there says the Lord.

As we head into Lent I want to invite all of us to read more scripture. Read 1 John1: 1-4.

We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it, and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us— we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that our[a] joy may be complete.

Count all of the “we’s”. We were sent into the world by God because we were created to live in community. Why go to Mississippi for the weekend? So we can see some of our brothers and sisters: Angie, Big Mama, Pastor Jolly, Bridgette, Chris, Gary and more.

I then urge you to read on in 1 John, chapter 1 to verses 8-10: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Where has sin clogged up your life. Pause for a moment and ask God to create a path filled with forgiveness and opportunity for change.

Prayers: Thank you for being with our traveling group in prayer - Pastor DJ, Pastor Milt, Jude Del Hierro, Bill & Donna Rose Challis, Jim & Diana Dietvorst, Mark & Lois Autterson, Cindi Leitch and Susan McPherson.

Still in One Peace,

Pastor David J. Jensen
