Two thousand, eight hundred ninety two

2,892 miles was the length of the ministry trip to Booneville, MS. You can learn a lot in that many miles. Especially in one big van.

- Josh gets a snack at every stop
- Matt likes to read
- Nate can nap and then instantly be ready to play a game
- Lindsey has a beautiful giggle/laugh
- April is ready to take it all in
- Andrea is great at asking questions to spark conversation
- Terry is wonderful to talk to
- Pastor Dave is an ace at playing Hearts (and a great teacher of the game)
- Kelley is fun to be with
- Steve (was in the van on day one) liked to hide out in the back

Some of the miles we had a full van with
- Becky who has the best/most contagious laugh
- Brad likes small groups of 2-4
- Claire is willing to help out and very organized
- Stan is humble and funny

Of course, the whole time Jesus was with us. He was among us growing our relationships. He was out ahead preparing our days to be just what was best. He was healer when cars and ankles needed help. His creativity moved us through beauty. He was hospitality made us all feel at home. He filled us with grace and mercy so that the whole group got along fabulously. He was love that overwhelmed us at times. He was peace for the journey.

For some of those miles we also had Big Mama, Angie and Jazz.  And of course there was Bridgette, Chris, Bill, Gary, Rev Jolly, Debbie, Aunt Maxine, Uncle Henry, a couple of really cute little kids and a host of others.

What did we do on the trip? Well, you’ll have to come find out tomorrow at 9 or 10:30 am!

Grace and peace,
