Transitions Part II

A little over a month ago my devotion was about transitions. My Uncle Jake was transitioning from a stroke, my cousin was retiring – things were in a state of flux.

Today I wanted to share part two of the story.

My Uncle Jake passed away in July. He left us after 92 years, he will be missed.

Like most things in his life, he didn’t follow the path that you would have thought. He became a person of faith, later in life, and he was convinced that St. Peter was waiting for him, to take him to see his wife Millie, who had preceded him in death by two years. I think that he was right. They are reunited, her illness is gone and Jake is fully functional once again in heaven.

We are going to Lubbock today, the 7th, to see family and celebrate Jake’s life at his memorial service. I am happy and sad at the same time. Jake won’t be there, but we are all going to celebrate because of him. Yet another transition that he is orchestrating. Because of him we will be together. Rest in peace Jake.

Transitions. We all go through them- some are good, some are bad, some are miraculous. In all our transitions, our God is with us. HE is orchestrating all of it. HE is with us, to it, and through it …Amen

Can I simply just say what a comfort to uncover somebody who
truly knows what they are talking about over the internet.
You certainly realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important.
More and more people ought to check this out and understand
this side of your story. I was surprised you are not more
popular because you definitely possess the gift.
