Dear Roommates,

Martin Luther King Jr., noted that there are only a few plots for all the great novels, plots that keep repeating themselves over and over again.

One of the plots, said King, is this one: “A widely separated family inherits a house in which they are forced to live together.” That’s us, that’s the church. We are fated by God with life within the “Body of Christ” and there is no way for sinful people like us to live together without obeying Jesus’ admonition to love and forgive.

Do you believe Jesus teachings? Can such ways build community and grow relationships? The key is that we believe just a little bit. It is all about a faith that’s sized like a mustard seed. See Matthew 13 , Matthew 17, Mark 4, Luke 13 and Luke 17 for further details.

On Sunday, our old friend Scott Freeman brings the gospel to life through the use of art. Scott will be doing a painting as a means of communicating the gospel for this week’s sermon. This is Scott's second time with us. He was at GGCC once before a few years back on Palm Sunday.

Still in one peace,
Pastor David J. Jensen
