Three Words

A recent trend has been to choose a “word of the year” instead of making a list of new year resolutions.  There’s a book, My One Word and websites devoted to this idea.  Basically one boils all their resolutions down to one word that represents their intentions.

Love

Risk

Discipline

Dream

Focus

Faithful

Present

What word would you choose?  What word would God choose for you?  I wonder if our intentions, goals and dreams can be boiled down to just one word.  Tomorrow we begin a two-part study on David.  The David of David and Goliath.  The David who was the greatest king Israel ever had.  The David who was the ancestor of Jesus.

What word comes to mind when you think of David?

BRAVE or COURAGEOUS or BOLD

Read the story in 1 Samuel 17.  I’m not sure David would agree with any of those words.  In fact, I think perhaps David would suggest three words that gave him confidence and inspired his life.

TRUST IN GOD

It’s as simple and as difficult as that.  When we trust in God we can do anything!  We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9 or 10:30 as we remind one another to trust in God.

Blessings,
Vikki
