Things I Learned in May

Things I learned (or liked) in May. Okay, I know it’s June 6. I probably should have made this post last Saturday, but I forgot. These are still good things.

Naps are good for you! I have always liked naps.  This isn't really something I learned, but more of an affirmation.

Can making fewer decisions, help you make other better decisions on things that matter? Does what I wear matter?  Hmmm, I've been paring down my clothes. Can I do more?

Laughter & Silence. I need them both.

I need a little inspiration (especially when the weather is unkind) and graduation speeches fit the bill this time of year.

My Bible verse for May was Hebrews 13:9 – “It is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace.” It reminded me to fall into the arms of grace, rather than perfection and pride. Rules and expectations can get out of hand.

What did you learn in May? What do you want to learn in June?

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9 or 10:30 a.m. as we welcome the “Rev”, Rev Leon Kelly as our guest preacher. We’ll gather to remind one another of how God’s love for us enables us to share that love with those on the fringes.

Grace and peace,
