The Way

Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” God told Moses that God’s name is “I am.” God is the way, the truth, and the life.

Eugene Peterson says that we skip the way and hurry to want the truth to find life. But we can’t get to the truth and life without the way of Jesus.

What is the way of Jesus? Ah, that’s the big question. It’s what we talk about all the time: the first are last, wash feet, love God + people, take time to rest and pray, celebrate when the lost is found, notice that the Kingdom is near.

The way we live and move and breathe. The way we see Jesus in the eyes of those around us and the way we go to those on the margins.

We gather to get back on the way because sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of the path. We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 10:00 am as we “gather” to worship via the livestream. It won’t be the same without you!
