The Gifts Of February

A recurring, occasional list of: Things I Learned…in February

It takes a team to complete a goal. And, winners can effectively share the glory with one another, the community and God. Way to go Broncos!

I can do new and hard things. I’m leading a new group and I was nervous about it, but I think it’s going okay because I ask Jesus to help and with him I can do anything.

God is for us – in all things. Found this great song: You Make Me Brave

The silence can be embraced. For Lent, I stopped “noise” by giving up listening to the radio in the car. Since I office at home I don’t have a commute, but I do have drives to meet folks or run errands. The silence has been a great time to pray and thank God. I’m not sure I’ll go quiet all the time after Lent, but I can see it being something I embrace regularly.

This list of prayers to borrow when you can’t find the words from an author I like, Emily Freeman.

Time seems to speeding by – but I ran across this article with ideas for helping time to slow down.

I was reminded in February that God does answer prayer, restores relationships and brings new things. I am joyful and grateful.

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9 or 10:30 am as we gather to worship, listen to God and share love with one another.

Enjoy your extra day – Leap Day on Monday!

Grace be with you,
