The Day In-Between

It’s the day in-between. Last night was the somber Good Friday remembrance. Tomorrow is the Resurrection celebration. What do we do today?

We wait and think of the times we wait forgetting there is a tomorrow. This day of being in-between might just help us the next time we need reminded of the Resurrection.

Psalms 42-43 paraphrased by David Haas

Like a thirsting deer,
I need you badly, God.
I am thirsting for you
You are living water.
When can I be with you?

I am in agony.
All around me voices say,
“Where is God?”

I remember when things were better,
when I felt close to you,
when I was at home with you.

Why am I so sad?
Must I wait for God?

The sea of fears, worries, nightmares
overwhelms and drowns me.
I call upon the love of God,
I complain:
“God, where are you—
have you forgotten me?”

Why am I so sad?
Must I wait for God?

I need you on my side,
defend me.
I need you to be strong for me.
Again, I am asking,
Have you forgotten me?

Give me insight,
and tell me the truth.
With these things
I can find my way to you—
you, the joy of my life.
I will praise you forever.

Why am I so sad?
I will wait for you, my God.

And I will always praise you.

Psalms 42-43 from Prayers Before An Awesome God by David Haas

We’ll be looking for you tomorrow at 9 or 10:30 in the RCHS auditorium as we CELEBRATE Christ is Risen!
