The Beginning of the End

Do you turn to the end of the book to see how the mystery ends?  Perhaps you wish you had input on how the story turns out.  Today, we have many opportunities to share our voice: voting on American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.  Even dramas have allowed the audience to vote on how their ending goes.

Jesus’ friends were sure they knew how his story would end.  Especially as they entered Jerusalem for the last time.  Jesus came in riding on a colt to crowds singing his praises.

But God’s way is usually not our way.  Our lives and our stories don’t often end the way we’d like, but because Jesus’ life ended the way it did our lives are changed forever.

As we enter this Holy Week leading up to Easter, we can enter into the story knowing that God’s ending is our ending.  Our lives mirror that of Jesus’ which gives us the opportunity to embrace the journey because we know how it ends!

Hope to see you tomorrow morning for our Palm Sunday worship experience with special guest Jude Del Hierro at 9 and 10:30 am.  And, we thank God for the moisture our land so desperately needs; travel safe.

God bless you,
Vikki
