That Kind of Time

“Kairos, is a term that usually means “the fulfilled time,” the crucial time,” “the decisive time,” that time when everything flows together and an opportunity is there which, perhaps, can never be seized again.”                     M. Robert Mulholland Jr.

How many times do these Kairos moments enter my life and I’m so preoccupied that I miss the gift put in front of me? Too many times. I like to think that I’m busy, preoccupied, but in reality often it’s sheer willfulness on my part. I rely on the grace of others and the grace of God. When I say yes, to His love within, and let go of my agenda, I know His hand is on my life, that His mercy is turning my world and our planet.

Relationships, whether long term or brief are how God rocks and changes our world. I thank God for the family, He brought into my world this week. Dear Megan, Matthew and Jaden, the gift of your time was precious to me. I pray God’s peace journeys with you always. When we are submissive to each other, we are in harmony with one another and with God.

“As Christ is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

Father God,

I sometimes find it difficult to trust that I myself, am enough to bring into a relationship. Forgive me when I try to earn Your love. Forgive me when I try to work out everything in my own strength. Teach me to surrender, Father.  Amen
