Time … We all have the same amount right, 24/7/365?
Time … Can pass by quickly or drag on for what seems like forever?
Time … Can be well utilized or mismanaged; How do you manage your time?
Time … Where does it go and what do we do with it?
We all get busy with the daily activities of life, myself included. I like to think I work hard to play hard, but because it seems like I am always “on the go,” I have forgotten lately to stop and take a minute … a minute to breathe.
On Friday I had an opportunity to take a hike with a friend of mine. During that hike, we stopped for a moment every now and then … one, so I could catch my breath on the incline :) and two, to just look at how blue the sky was … to look at the Columbines growing in the wild … and to even watch a butterfly that accompanied us for part of our hike. It was a beautiful day and I was quietly reminded to take a moment and enjoy my surroundings; the beauty of God’s creation.
We are all going to have our own thoughts on time but as I thought about slowing down and “taking some time,” this is what came to mind, my new catch phrase if you will -- “Take Time” …
Talk to a Friend
Allow time for oneself
Kind words to those you meet (strangers or friends)
Enjoy a moment
Take a Walk
Imagine and Dream
Manage Time Explore new opportunities
What does “Take Time” bring to your mind?? As you go thru your daily or weekly rituals, I encourage you to stop for just a moment to smell the roses and enjoy the beauty surrounding you.
Dear Lord, we thank you for the gift of time. Please guide us to use our time wisely; to slow down and to take a moment to enjoy the gifts you have given us and not take things for granted. Amen
