Sunday to Mon...Tues...Wed...all the days of your week

“Saints are, human beings we celebrate for the sacrifice they have made to make the world a better place." ~Priest in St Vincent

On Sunday we heard heartfelt testimonies from four individuals about the saints they've lost in the past year. It was moving, there were tears and laughter and sorrow and joy -- just what you'd expect. We thank God for our saints who make us who we are today. We created a "family tree" with the memories, gifts and names of our saints.

Pastor Dave recommends you try to see the movie "St Vincent" - it's a moving film about what makes a saint.

For your reflection, discussion and coffee breaks this week:

  • Jesus stayed with Mary and Martha because he “loved” (John 11:5) When you feel the love of Jesus where are you staying?
  • “My brother would not have died if you had been here?” (John 11:21,32) What do you blame Jesus for? How has Jesus blessed you even as you blamed him?
  • Martha had faith because she had relationship. Reflect into how faith follows relationship. (John 11:27)
  • When you cry it says that something is wrong. Jesus knows when something is wrong for “Jesus has wept” (John 11:35). What does it mean for our relationship with Jesus that we have the freedom to cry?
  • Looking ahead to next week: How have you been blessed with the opportunity to risk for Jesus? (Matthew 25:14-30)
