Sunday to Monday/Bad Things Happen to Good People

“Christians differ from pagans, not in the ills which befall them,
but in what they do with the ills that befall them.” ~ Augustine

Jesus' Mercy comes to us in times of good and bad. Examine your relationship with God. Repent and abide with God knowing we don't have all the answers.

Reflections on the message to take with you into your week:

  • When was the first time you asked the question, “Why do bad things happen to good people?”
  • Review Luke 13:1-9, repentance is to turn toward God and become reacquainted. How might that be of benefit in the midst of suffering?
  • Pray for the places you ache and suffer for yourself and for the world around you. Seek repentance and stronger relationship with God in the midst of wounds. This is the message of the cross for you this Lent.
  • Read Luke chapter 15. Pray and reflect about the value of a God who loves lost things.
