Sunday to Monday/ Work Life Balance

On Sunday, Pastor Dave’s sermon was entitled, “Work Life Balance.” Text was from Genesis 1:26-2:4 and Luke 21:34-37. Other resource was from the book Great by Choice by Jim Collins and Marten T. Hansen, Harper Collins 2011.

Some questions to help you reflect on Sunday’s message…

· Do you feel the presence of your Creator (Gen 1:26-2:4) in your labors? Pray that you might more fully participate with God through your labor and rest.

· How might Jesus’ command to be on “…Guard and … Alert” bring the gift of organization and preparation to your life?

· Is your style more like Roald Amundson or Robert Falcon Scott, who each lead an expedition to Antarctica in 1911? Amundson was well prepared, organized and made it safely there and back. Scott was ill prepared and did not survive.

· Pray this prayer each day this week, and take note of God’s response.

Prayer of Praise
Most wondrous God, from the beginning you have found delight in all your creatures. You declare your work to be good. As we seek your presence here, God, open our hearts to receive your affirming love. Then send us forth to uphold others in our work, with whom we share communion in your love. Amen.
