Sunday to Monday | We Can Trust in the Future

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, take others with you.”

African Proverb

It was a good morning to gather for worship, be in relationship, thank God and hear the Good News. Pastor Dave shared from 1 Timothy 2:2-6, Luke 16:10-13 and recommended we underline John 12:32 in our Bibles, Jesus said, "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." Sometimes we are like Chicken Little, "the sky is falling" and sometimes we are like The Little Engine That Could, "I think I can." Jesus is with us and gives us others to be with us through it all and wants all good things for us and for the world. If you missed being with us, you can watch it here and pray with us here. Don't forget Claudia's celebration party on Saturday, September 28 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the home of Pastor Dave and Amy.

We're not Sunday and done with our faith lives, we are sent on Sunday into our week. Here are items to reflect and talk about.

  • “If you want to fast, go alone. If you want to go far, take others with you” (African Proverb) Is it true? Do you desire to go fast or far?
  • Are you more “Chicken Little” or “Little Engine That Could”? What would God have you be?
  • How is Christ being conceived with you?
  • Looking ahead to next week: What is the ultimate authority in your life? See Luke 10:17-20 for reflection.
