Sunday to Monday | Unexpected Friendship

On Sunday, Pastor Dave, and the rest of the Jensen family, spoke about their recent trip to Nicaragua. They shared their experiences with honesty, compassion and deep-felt emotion. They spoke of friendships found in unexpected places. Dave, Amy, Cole, Amanda and Dane seemed to go “deeper with fewer” (as we’ve heard is one of Brad Corrigan’s missions with the Love, Light and Melody group) during their memorable journey. Dave used the text of 1 Samuel 18 as the basis of his message.

Sunday’s early service also celebrated the baptism of Liam Dietrich Huft. We welcome Liam into the Lord’s family and congratulate the entire Huft family.

Some things to think about as you start your week…

·How would you define a “ friend”? What are some blessings God can only bestow upon us via friendship?

·Do you have a deep friendship(s) you could put on scale with the one described that David and Jonathan shared in 1 Samuel 18?

·In what ways do you see God as friend?

·Spend some time in prayer regarding your stewardship of friendship.
