Sunday to Monday / Transformed

“Our identity stems not from what we do…but from who we have come.”
Rev. Peter J. Gomes

The New Testament book of Romans, Pastor Dave says, is the best of the letters written by St. Paul to the early Jesus-followers about understanding the life of a disciple. And, chapter 12 is the best of the book. We learned about what it means to be transformed and live firm in our identity as a beloved, worthy and forgiven child of God. Romans 12:1-3

May you be transformed into who you really are through Jesus.

Discussion starters, devotional thoughts and links for your week.

SUNDAY TO MONDAY (for the handout)
· Nelson Mandel moved many spiritually. Who has Jesus used to inspire you spiritually? Have you thanked God for them, have you thanked them?
· “Who do you think you are?" Do you trust that you are a transformed child of God? See Romans 12:1-3.
· Pray upon the reality that you are created in the ”image of God”. See Genesis 1:27. May that shape your identity.
· How would a heightened understanding and faith in the power of Christ to offer us transformation, and an identity in Jesus have empowered you differently in a past period of suffering?
· Looking ahead to next week "Are you His disciple?"
