Sunday to Monday / The Kingdom of God

“The Kingdom exists wherever God is making things right – in and through God’ s people as they follow Jesus. It is worth hoping for, praying for and – the exciting part – participating in. And we can participate – together! – by having faith in God, pursuing right relationships with God and others, seeking God’s forgiveness, and relying on God’s protection and freedom.”

The Kingdom of God is growing. Here and now. We heard stories of how this is happening from the multi-generational group who served last week in Rapid City, SD. God grew hearts. God grew relationships. God grew love among and through the group which ranged in age from 8 years  - 57 years and many ages in between. Click here to see photos from yesterday's worship. Here are thought starters, reflections and discussions for your week as we continue to consider what our participation in God's Kingdom.

  • What do you think of when you hear the word “kingdom”? Why is God’s Kingdom “upside down”?
  • Where has God established the Kingdom? Where has the Kingdom not yet taken root? Why?
  • What does it mean to be a citizen in God’s kingdom?
