Sunday to Monday / Storms of Life

“Sometimes God stills the storm, and sometimes God walks through it with us.”
Mark Hall of Casting Crowns

John 3:16 is an often-known piece of scripture. "For God so loved the world..." It's the centerpiece to our life of faith. God sent Jesus to save us and to walk with us.

The Jesus Sightings series concluded with seeing Jesus "In Darkness.” Sacred space and light. Where do you go for it? Where did Nicodemus go for it? Might there be sacred space in the storms and darkness of our lives?

Click here for the story of finding Jesus in the storms (darkness) of life as Casting Crowns musician Mark Hall describes the origins of the song, "Praise You in the Storm."

Grace and peace for your week. Reflections, discussion starters and links.

  • Do you trust the quote that, “Sometimes Jesus stills the storm and sometimes Jesus walks through it with us.”?
  • “Condemnation is to be in the darkness with your sins.” - Dr James Nestigan. Where are you in darkness? Pray for the light of Christ to remove all darkness.
  • Go to some of your sacred space and pray for John 3:16 to be ever more alive in your life.
  • Pray for Rev Kelly that the message he brings in Jesus’ name next week offers light in the darkness.
