Sunday to Monday/ Stay Until You Leave

Lord God, teach us the grace to look less at ourselves and more at you.  Give us the ability to feel less of our own aches and pains, and more of the suffering of others.  Teach us to take ourselves less seriously, and you and your will for us more seriously.  Amen.

On Sunday, Pastor Dave’s sermon was entitled “Stay Until You Leave.” Text was from Mark 6:1-13 and Psalm 123.

As you begin your week, think about the following questions …

• Do I want the church to meet my needs?

• Is the church to be focused on God’s needs or human needs?

• Why did so many reject Jesus?  Do you embrace all of who Jesus is? (Mark 6:4,5)

• Are you able to be present where you are until you leave? (Mark 6:10)

• Have you been rejected for Jesus’ sake? (Mark 6:11) Are you willing to be rejected for Jesus’ sake?
