Sunday to Monday / Sometimes We Can't Make It On Our Own

Sometimes you can't make it on your own. U2

The 2nd sermon in the Spirituality of U2 series was a morning to explore what it means to understand we are in this together and Jesus' command that we are to love one another is real. Pastor Dave shared the teaching from Desmond Tutu of Ubuntu: "A person is a person through other persons." We carry each other and we know we can't make it on our own.

Go here if you missed it. Prayers of the day here

Photos from the week's ministry together.

Take the message into your week, it's not for Sunday only!

  • When were some of the deepest moments when God lead you into the understanding that “sometimes you cannot make it on your own?
  • Do you acknowledge your brokenness to others, if so who? Do you know the brokenness within those closest to you? How do you see God’s light shining through the brokenness?
  • What music helps you to live into the communal nature of God? See John 13:34, 35 and John 15:12-15 for further reflection.
  • Looking ahead to next week: Where should faith take us?
