Sunday to Monday | Small Resources

“Keep a sense of curiosity. Discover new things. Care. Risk failure. Reach out. You have to build meaning into your life, and you build it through your commitments, whether to your religion, to an ethical order as you conceive it, to your life’s work, to loved ones, to your fellow humans…

As you get a little older, you’re told you’ve earned the right to think about yourself. But that’s a deadly prescription! People of every age need commitments beyond the self, need to meaning that commitments provide.” ~John Gardner

On Sunday, the title of Pastor Dave's sermon was "Small Resources."

Below are some questions to think about as you start the new week...

· Why do you suppose the feeding of the 5000 (Matthew 14:13-21, comes as Jesus mourns the death of             John the Baptist? (Matthew 14:1-12)

· What is the bread, the fish God has given you that others might be fed? (Matthew 14:17)

· When has someone offered you what seemed to be a little, and it offered you much to meet the hunger within?

· How might you…. how might the church…. faithfully live out the truth of the “feeding of the 5000?”          (Matthew 14: 13-21)
