Sunday to Monday / Salt and Light

“Satan knows your name, but calls you by your sin. Jesus knows your sin but calls you by your name.” ~ Rev. Dave Stone

Our worship continued in Matthew 5, Jesus' teaching on salt and light. It was a celebration of who we are in identity as children of God to bring light to the world. We celebrated and thanked God. Especially for our friend and brother in Christ, Rodney Jackson, who celebrates his 50th birthday on February 12th.

Go here to see photos from the morning and here to watch it if you missed it.

Reflections and links for your devotions, conversations and family time.

  • When you read Matthew 5:13-20, what does God speak to you about “salt” and “light”?
  • How might Jesus’ light help you see people as they really are?
  • How might Jesus’ light help you see yourself as you really are?
  • Looking ahead to next week: When are your words and actions not in sync?
