Sunday to Monday | Remembering (Our Suffering with Hope)

How do we "dance" or enter into what it means to have anger/enemies and can "evil be dealt with sometimes only by evil measure?” …killing that others might not be killed?  This Memorial Day weekend, Pastor Dave talked about this tough subject and that it's not an easy matter for any of us.

How could we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land?
Psalm 137:4

This week here are some thoughts:

  • If you were to eliminate verses from scripture what would you cut out? Why? What would you be sure to include? Why? What might the difficult verses we don’t like teach us? Can the verses we like ever become so familiar they lose their full power?
  • What makes you angry? When is anger appropriate? Psalm 109 and 137.
  • How has “struggle” blessed you? (Romans 5:1-5)
  • When has God transformed an enemy into a friend in your life? Pray for the chance to share the testimony.
  • Make a list of the people who have angered or wronged you, and pray for them. (Matthew 5:44)
