Sunday to Monday / “Rameses” Where Do You Take Your Shoes Off?

4When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, ‘Moses, Moses!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ 5Then he said, ‘Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’

 Exodus 3:4,5

Pastor Dave kicked off August with the first of a sermon series on “God is in the Midst of the City” where cities from the Bible will be explored.  This Sunday’s focus was on Exodus 3 and Moses and God’s conversation on sacred ground.

Here are some thoughts for this week:

  • When have you experienced a “Rameses”, a place of wounds and woe?  Did you trust in God to meet you there?
  •  Have you ever taken a risk to encounter God?  How did God bless you?  (Exodus 3)
  • Do you have sacred space?  A place where God’s voice has had its greatest clarity in your life?
  • Go to your sacred space.  Pray that those in the bondage of a place like “Rameses”, might be set free and journey toward the promised land.
