Sunday to Monday | Procrastinating Like Jesus

“Your daughter is dead, do not trouble the teacher any longer.”

Luke 8:49

We had a good morning of worship: good fellowship, great music and meaningful teaching. The series on Jesus' Bad Habits continued with Jesus the serial procrastinator. Pastor DJ used the story from Luke 8:40-56 as one example where Jesus took his time - procrastinated some might say - before getting on with the business of healing. Sometimes we need to slow down and pay attention to the moment, the person, God's calling at hand instead of moving so fast. If you were unable to be with us, you can watch the stream here. Pray the prayers of the day here. Check out photos from the morning here

We'll be looking for you on Wednesday evening for the free concert at Streets of SouthGlenn. Meet us at 5:30 to eat your picnic supper and catch up with one another before the concert starts at 6:30. Details here

We are Sunday - Monday people: we don't leave church for Sunday morning only! Here are reflections and conversation starters as some curated links for your week.

  • Do you consider yourself a procrastinator? After reading Luke 8:40-56 is delaying your actions good or bad?
  • What does it mean to live in God’s timing versus your own?
  • Where in your life might Christ be inviting you to procrastinate more?
  • Looking ahead to next week: What do you wish there was more of in your relationship with your father?
