Sunday to Monday | Peace of Mind

"Spirituality is not about a lottery ticket to the next life, but a front-row-center ticket to this one." Terry Hershey

It was a beautiful morning for us to "gather" via the stream. We celebrated "Joke Sunday" an old tradition that God played a joke on the devil when Jesus rose from the dead. Pastor Dave's sermon was based on John 20:19-31. Jesus comes to bring peace to our past and to our future, now. We can live with renewed hope even in the midst of the crisis and our wounds. If you weren't able to be with us, you can watch here. See photos here

We'll be looking for you Wednesday at our midweek gathering! You can sign on to the Zoom meeting at 6:00 pm, the shared spiritual gathering will be from 6:15-6:45. Vikki will email the link about 5:30 pm. If you don't get it contact her.

We're not done with God on Sunday, take the message into your week's reflection, devotions and conversations.

  • How do you deal with what weighs you down? Pastor Dave referred to this book, "Peace of Mind". What gets in the way of letting Christ come in?
  • What burdens are you holding onto from the past?
  • We confess that we hold onto the past and fears of the future, but Christ comes to clear our minds and bring healing as it says in Isaiah 53:5 "we are healed through his bruises."
  • What are worries for the future? “We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”- Parker Palmer
  • How might you let Jesus come through the locked doors of your doubts about the past and the future now?
  • Visit the home page daily for links to prayers, articles and songs.
