Sunday to Monday / Palm Sunday

“...the artist’s task is to find out how much music you can still make
with what you have left.”

Itzhak Perlman

Holy Week began with a great celebration yesterday on Palm Sunday. Click here to see photos from the morning. We were grateful to hear from Steve Hammack on how much GGCC means to him and his wife, Carolyn as part of this year's stewardship campaign, "The Promise of a Journey".  Pastor Dave's friend, Matt, shared his gift of playing the violin as we heard the story of Itzhak Perlman making music with just 3 strings on his violin.

Take the message into your Holy Week. And don't forget the worship continues with events on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Saturday and culminates on Easter Sunday.

  • Have you ever given your “cloak” to another? “Revealed yourself, bared your soul to the world.” ~ Leonard Sweet How did it affect you?
  • What has been your experience of courage in the face of betrayal? Have you allowed God to make full use of the experience, transform you through the pain?
  • Ponder Itzhak Perlman’s quote, “You know, sometimes it is the artist’s task to find out how much music you can still make with what you have left.”
  • Reflect and pray deeply into Holy Week. Where is death knocking at your door? Pray that God moves with fresh hope and life to move you from Good Friday to Easter.
