Sunday to Monday | Obedience & the Holy Spirit

On Sunday, Vikki's sermon was entitled “I will not leave you,” based on text from John 14:15-21. She spoke about how the Holy Spirit is always with us. She reminded us of the obedience that God expects from us...including to love Him, love ourselves, love our neighbors and enemies.

Some questions to think about...

·Where did you meet God today? What kinds of experiences make you most aware of God’s presence? What might happen if you ask the question “where did you meet God today?” on a daily basis?

·Jesus promised to send the Spirit of truth and love to us. Where do you find truth and love in your life? There you will find the Holy Spirit. When is truth and love fun and exciting? When is truth and love hard and difficult?

·We know that Jesus will not leave us or be separated from us and that he gives us the gift of advocates: the Holy Spirit and human advocates. Who are your advocates? Who are you an advocate for? Make a list of these people and say a prayer of thanks to God for each one as write a name.
