“We spend precious hours fearing the inevitable. It would be wise to use that time adoring our families, cherishing our friends, and living our lives.” Maya Angelou
On Sunday, Vikki spoke on the topic of worry. Text for the day was Matthew 6: 24-34 and Philippians 4:6-7.
Some questions to think about regarding this ever-present topic...
1. What do you worry about? How does worrying affect your days? Your sleep? Your relationships?
2. Jesus says "don't worry," but why not? There is a lot of stuff going on these days: jobs lost, homes destroyed in earthquakes, loved ones getting sick... What reasons do you have NOT to worry? How might you focus on these things to be grateful for instead of worry?
3. "Don't be afraid of tomorrow; for God is already there." This quote by an unknown author speaks to the future. What does it mean for God to already be in the future? What does it mean for your today?
4. Make it a practice to read Philippians 4: 4-7 each day this week. Receive God's gift of peace through Jesus.
