Sunday to Monday / Never Stopping at Failure

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ~ Winston Churchill

“I have a dream today.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr., Washington DC, 1963

Sunday was the 2nd in the two-part series on Malcolm Gladwell's book, David & Goliath -- Underdogs, Misfits, and The Art of Battling Giants.  Gladwell's chapter on Martin Luther King Jr was especially fitting.

We mourned the loss of our dear elder-statesman, Ed Chipman after 93 years on Sat, Jan 18.  The funeral will be Wednesday, Jan 22 at 10 am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary.

Blessings for your Martin Luther King Jr Holiday.  Here are some discussion items and links.

  • Read 1 Samuel 17. What stands out to you? Pray that the teachings of 1 Samuel 17 might be woven within you.
  •  Where have you personally encountered a wound or failing being transformed into a strength?
  • Where have you publically seen the “weak” triumph over the “strong”?
  • Pray for the place in your heart where your wounds need to be transformed to blessings. (“Blessings” are the places heaven and earth collide!)
