Sunday to Monday | Nazareth to Bethlehem

We who have seen the star and heard the angels sing are called to participate in the new birth and new world proclaimed by these stories.  The birth stories are not a pipe dream, but a proclamation that what we see revealed in Jesus is the way—the way to a different kind of life and a different future…God will not change the world without our participation.

On Sunday, Pastor Dave continued on The Journey sermon series, with this week’s subject “Nazareth to Bethlehem.”  He spoke of the importance of donkeys on the edge, water for travelling and the rest stop. Text was from Luke 2:1-3; Matthew 21:1-11 and John 4:1-42.

Following are some questions to help you reflect on Sunday’s message…

• What is your most memorable trip?  Why?

• Are times when hardship and obstacles were faced, the journeys you remember most? Why?

• Were Jesus’ memorable journeys easy? Luke 2:1-4; Matthew 21:1-11

• Where do you stop for a long drink of Jesus’ living water (John 4:1-42)?
