Sunday to Monday | More Jesus

On Sunday, 8 of our youth along with 3 adult chaperones led worship by sharing some of their experiences from last week's mission trip to Kansas City.  They helped with summer camps, tutored children, visited nursing homes, worked at food banks, painted an elderly couple's home, worshiped nightly and built relationships with folks from different backgrounds and from all over the country...among many other things!  They came away with many life lessons and experiences along with the knowledge that canned foods are heavy, painting isn't as easy as it looks, it is possible to be a happy, cheerful person after living in a nursing home for 3 years, and that third graders aren't as innocent as one may think they should be!  They were indeed blessed to be a blessing, and we should be proud of them, our very own GGCC missionaries.

Some questions to ponder as you head into the new week...

-Where do you need more Jesus and less you?

-Have you tried to put on a "show" so others will think better of you? What do you think Jesus desires when he says in Matthew 6: 4 & 6, that God rewards what is done in secret?

-How could you help the world be a different place if there was less of you and more of Jesus?

-What treasure stored in your heart do you need to acknowledge and be grateful for?
