Sunday to Monday / Lullaby

“I’m only the workshop of the Lord.” ~ Martin Luther of Mary

“Mary was the first disciple of Christ, had she not believed, she could not have conceived.” ~ Timothy George

Yesterday on the 4th Sunday of Advent we lit the candle of Peace. Remembering that Jesus our Prince of Peace is coming. Pastor Dave shared that Mary's song of joy (Luke 1:39-56) is a lullaby - a song to do put demons or evil away. There was a 5 piece band that sang us into our peace.

Lots of great ministry went on last week. You can check it all out by looking at photos. Click on each event to go that photo album.

Reflection ideas, conversation starters and links for your week as we wait and expect the birth of Jesus

  • Let lullaby have a try in your playlist. Pastor Dave recommends Tom Wasinger's, “The world Sings Goodnight”.
  • Read Mary’s Lullaby, the Magnificat and ponder the words in your heart. Luke 1:39-56
  • Do you kneel to pray? We’ve all sung the words of “O Holy Night...fall on your knees...” Give it a try today. How is prayer different when we use our entire body in new ways to speak to God?
  • Looking ahead to next week: What is your image of Jesus as a boy growing up?
  • Conversation Starters for an intentional family Christmas
  • For families: Learn about the different faces of Mary, Jesus’ mother
  • Enjoy this music video of the song “Mary Did You Know?”
