Sunday to Monday / Love and Light

We lit the 3rd candle of Advent: the Candle of Love.  Yesterday was an amazing day of worship as we welcomed Brad Corrigan, founder of Love, Light and Melody to share his memories of the love and light serving with kids from Nicaragua to Pine Ridge to Denver.   He helped us connect to the greater story of God's love as we did what God's people do in times of suffering: come together.

In these later days of the Advent journey, we continue on with hope in our hearts.  For the One who will be born anew in us.  Wednesday evening, 12/18, join us for the final Advent Midweek event of Blue Christmas.  A time of acknowledging that the Christmas season isn't always a time of cheer or merriment - but can bring the blues, sad memories of loved ones lost and darkness.  It's at 7 pm at HFS, 8955 Ridgeline Blvd.

Saturday afternoon, 12/21, we'll hope you can come caroling with us to spread a little cheer at the Life Care center in Littleton followed by the pie social.  Noon-3pm.  Visit for details for both these events.

Here are some questions and activities to ponder this week.

  • How would the world (the rich, the poor, etc) have viewed the “Magnificat”? (Luke 1:46-55)
  • Where is your world in need being turned upside down?
  • Pray for LLM. Pray for the LLM and GGCC partnership.
  • What wondrous things has the “Mighty One” done for you lately? (Luke 1:49)
