Sunday to Monday / Living Wholeheartedly

“Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.”
~ Brené Brown

Sunday morning we looked at the widow from Mark 12:41-44 who put 2 coins in the offering - all she had. In the face of uncertainty she trusted in a certain God. She went all in and demonstrated what it means to live wholeheartedly. Jesus gave his all and knows that when we give our all we can have a wholehearted life. We also learned from researcher/storyteller/author Brené Brown that living wholeheartedly means cultivating authenticity and letting go of what people think. It means cultivating self-compassion and letting go of perfectionism. Cultivating a resilient spirit and letting go of numbing and powerlessness. Cultivating gratitude and joy and letting go of scarcity and fear of the dark. It’s finding love and belonging.

When we own our stories we can write a brave new ending. ~ Brené Brown
