Sunday to Monday / Linger with Jesus

“Life is short, even in its longest days.”
~ John Mellencamp’s grandma

Yesterday we had snacks during the sermon! Yes - popcorn, cheetos and/or mixed nuts. In John, Jesus talked of being the bread of life. Jesus invites us to linger...over a meal, over a relationship, over a trying time because that's where we often find Jesus. Thanks be to God.  Click here for photos.

Last night Youth Group had an End of Summer Bash & Picnic. Click here to see photos. We are grateful for our Summer Youth Intern, Sam Jacobs. Thank you Sam for who you are and all you've done.

For your week's reflections and conversations:

  • Do you eat to live or live to eat? How is your diet? Do you lift it up in prayer?
  • Read John 6 and ponder anew what Jesus might mean by the “bread of life”?
  • How is the pace of your life? Are you addicted to fast food as a way of life? Reflect upon the ways Jesus might be inviting you to slow down and experience “bread from heaven in a new way”.
  • Looking ahead to next week: What do you need to let go of?
