Sunday to Monday | Kenosis, Plerosis, Henosis

“Who do you say that I am?” ~ Jesus (Matthew 16:15)

It may have been a snowy morning, but worship was rich, deep and meaningful yesterday morning. If you missed it, check it out here. Pastor Dave led us through Matthew 16:13-26 and what it means to answer the question from Jesus, "Who do you say that I am?" Following Jesus means we need to humble ourselves and be emptied (kenosis), let him fill us (plerosis) so that we might find communion with God (henosis).

  • When you follow Jesus are you ready for the good times as well as the bad? (See Matthew 16:21-28)
  • Looking ahead to next week: If someone were to say to you, “Teach me to pray”, how would you respond? *Please come to the January 27th Advance to learn more about prayer.”
