Sunday to Monday / Just Pray

Yesterday we focused on Prayer by engaging with multiple prayer experiences and opportunities. We heard Simeon's Nunc Dimittis - God answering his prayer! - "Master, now you are dismissing your servant in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.” Luke 2:29-32

Pastor DJ taught us to pray:

  1. Before difficult decisions
  2. Before facing evil or temptation
  3. When you have the least amount of time
  4. When facing the final Nunc Dimittis

We practiced prayer with stations of candles, praying for others by name with this or praying in color with this. We prayed as a community the Prayers of the Day with our real-time, submitted prayer requests. We all were Prayer Ministers at the end of worship. We received resources to engage prayer in our daily lives.
