Sunday to Monday | Is - What - About to Arrive

Our king likes to go out into the streets in disguise. He turns up as a street person, a homeless, battered woman, a black teen being taunted by young racists, and whispers to us that as we care for everyone, we care for him. As we care for him, we learn what loving sacrifice means. When we are humble enough to learn how to serve, we are ready to acknowledge Christ as king.

Rev. Anthony F.M. Clavier

On Sunday, Executive Minister, Vikki Luce, talked about celebrating the last day of the church calendar, Christ the King Sunday, and preparing for the arrival of the Christ child and a new beginning.

Some questions to think about this week:

  • Do you consider Jesus a king? Why or why not?
  • When you look back in your past, do you see Jesus' presence with you? If so, how can you see Jesus' presence today and in the future? If not, how might you find Jesus' presence?
  • Where is your place in Jesus' kingdom?
  • What would you like to ask Jesus the King to do in your life? In the world?
