Sunday to Monday / Interruptions

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover them, and not to hide your self from your own kin?
Isaiah 58:7

It was our joy yesterday to welcome new friend, Max Frost.  Max is an artist, a pastor and a storyteller. He shared about his trip to Nicaragua with our partner Love, Light and Melody. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we have to "do" that we forget to engage Jesus around us. So Jesus offers "interruptions" to get our attention. Max left us with this question:

Who is it that Jesus might have you be interrupted by this week?

"For Jesus, people are the destination." ~ Max Frost

Reflection, discussion starters and links for your week.

  • When did you serve another person with no expectation of reward? How did you feel?
  • Read Isaiah 58:7. How would your life be changed if everybody you met had the same last name as you?
  • Pray for the ministry of Love, Light and Melody and for its leaders, Brad Corrigan and Daisy Wiberg. Pray also for Max Frost.
  • Looking ahead to next week: Please pray for the ministry of Angie Jumper and the Boys and Girls Club of Booneville, Mississippi.
