Sunday to Monday/ In Order

He said to them, ‘Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. – Mark 6:31

On Sunday, the title of Pastor Dave’s sermon was “Getting Your Life in Order.” Text for the day was from Mark 6:30-34, and 53-56. “If you want to get your life in order, ponder God’s vision for your life. Then reflect on all the things you need to do to get there. God wants you there and will offer all this to get you there!”

Some questions to help you reflect on yesterday’s sermon…

· When you hear the words “Come away with me and rest for a while” (Mark 6:31), what goes through your mind? Do you need rest? Where would you go? What keeps you from resting and going to where you want to be?

· Do the needs of others and stresses of life pursue you when you attempt to “rest?” (Mark 6:32-34). What does God want to do with the obstacles in your life?

· “If you looked at all the days of your life and boiled out the boring stuff, would there be enough for a movie?” Donald Miller. If there is, your life might be in good order.

· If God asked you, “What do you want?” How would you answer?

Lord Jesus, have compassion for our wandering ways. Through your word, teach us your way. Show us how to love you better and how to serve you more faithfully. Let your light shine among us. Lead us in paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. Amen.
