Sunday to Monday / Iconoclast

Iconoclast: One who attacks or seeks to overthrow traditions and institutions. One who destroys religious images.” ~ Common dictionary

How would the Iconoclast vote is the question to ponder. Jesus is our iconoclast who seeks to help us see beyond the ways of the world and to know that no matter who we vote for, God votes for us. Everything we have comes from God.

We welcomed Chris Henshaw, Executive Director of the Raising the Walls and the 10 year celebration project we're engaging on Sunday, November 2nd. Want to find out more, click here. We've raised $4,450 thus far for our anniversary gift of one home of $9,000. Join us in making a family's dreams come true.

Thoughts, reflections and discussion to take into your week.

  • How would you define an “iconoclast”? Who inspires you as an iconoclast? Was Jesus an iconoclast? Are you an iconoclast?
  • Where do you need to reframe something in Jesus’ name?
  • Do you need to squash the “fear response” and be an iconoclast for Christ?
  • Read Ephesians 2:4-6 and pray about how Jesus desires to be an iconoclast in your life.
  • Next Sunday Scott Freeman is going to present the gospel through art. What art has spoken the love of Jesus to you?
