Sunday to Monday/ Hunger

Thoughts On Hunger

· Native-American prayer: We give thanks today for this meal because it buys us one more day of life.
· If it wasn’t food 100 years ago, it isn’t food today. ~ Anonymous
· Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. ~Howard Thurman
~Thanks to Kenneth W. McIntosh for these thoughts.

On Sunday, Pastor Dave began a new sermon series on Spiritual Wellness. This week the topic was “What Are You Hungry For?” Text was from John 6:1-15.

Some questions to reflect upon, as you start your week…

· If someone on an elevator ride asked you, “What one thing is the secret of life?” How would you respond?

· When have you seen what appeared to be “limited resources,” when blessed by Jesus they became generous resources? John 6:12,13

· What are you looking for? Where in your life do the words of the band U2 echo in your heart, “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for?”

· Why did Jesus “withdraw” when they wanted to make him king? (John 6:15)
